You are an instrument maker specialised on violins. In the house squeezed by two abandoned buildings you‘re running a violin studio.

Your doorbell is ringing and someone appears in the doorframe. They enter your show room which is illuminated by the sun shining through colourful windows.

The Instrument Maker - Violin Studio - is an one-page solo game based on a dice and journaled conversations. It’s about violins, craft and magic. Chat to the visitors about their dreams and and find out what is important to them. Help them to play the music of their lives with a violin of yours. Note their dreams, hidden fears, needs and hopes on your journal sheet to shape their perfect violin.

You hand the instrument over to the new owner. Now it’s time to wait for the customer to use it and to discover its’ magic. Game finishes when you receive the last feedback for your violins. (Stay tuned for an additional game to come up!)

What you need

• Quiet time
• Pen and paper
• One six-sided dice
• Fancy light or candlelight (optional, but recommended)

Two-player version

If you want to play The Instrument Maker - Violin Studio - with two people, play the conversations instead of journaling them. Player one will be the violin maker owning the Violin Studio, player two takes the roles of certain costumers.
